The Gocciadoro plan holds

The plan from last winter holds.

Cash Maker went from Italy to Sweden with Breeders Course as the big goal. He finished second behind the sensational winner Love You Too in the final during the Elitloppsweekend and now he is heading towards the second final for the 3-year-olds.

– I was very happy with him, said trainer Alessandro Gocciadoro after second place in the final when he trotted 1.13,1 over 2140 meters from a tough starting position.

Then he got 500 000 SEK for his second place and now the idea is to increase that amount and he starts at Solvalla June 16. Together with Örjan Kihlström, Örjan drives the horse for the fourth time in a row, we keep Cash Maker as the favorite in the first elimination race for the second final for the 3-year-old Breeders Course horses.

Cash Maker is one of about fifteen horses that Gocciadoro has in a Swedish branch at Söderby Gård just north of Stockholm. Normally, Gocciadoro lives in Noceto (near Parma) in Italy, but he likes the possibilities with the Swedish trotting sport and has taken a course for foreign trainers to get a Swedish license.

– Swedish trotting is the most interesting in Europe and I really like to compete in Sweden with my horses.

But Gocciadoro should not count on a free place for the final. Admittedly, Chopin Gar has drawn a worse starting position, but Timo Nurmos has high thoughts about his horse. And in the elimination for the last final, Cash Maker was only half the length before Chopin Gar.

The third horse that has the opportunity to take a place in the final at Jägersro is Ambrosius. He has not yet shown the same class as the two we have already mentioned, but we note that his big brother Pucks Bounce were number two in the two-year final 2019 - beaten by Kuyt F Boko.

After Work US and Asteroid are both born in the USA and thus not eligible to start in the final while Indigo Sisu, Cocco B F C and Callisto are not registered for Breeders Course and thus miss the chance to qualify for the final at Jägersro (in the magic Åbergsevening) where 700 000 SEK awaits the winner.
