The Corona crisis changes the conditions for the first 3-year series in the Breeders Course. The elimination in Milan (April 14) expires and for the elimination in Wolvega (May 15) it looks tough at present, , instead there will be four eliminations in Sweden and the final - with a million SEK in first prize - remains at Solvalla on May 31.
- We have closely followed developments around Europe and taken note of the pandemic restrictions that apply in each country. Unfortunately, this means that we have to set the race in Milan and most likely likely the race in Wolvega, says Magnus Rundgren, CEO of Breeders Course. We regret that, but in the current situation, we must all look to human health in the first place.
After a consultation with Svensk Travsport, the Breeders Course has decided that there will be four eliminations in Sweden where the three first horses (who are registered for the Breeders Course) qualify for the final.
April 29: Solvalla
May 9: Åby
May 13: Solvalla
May 13: Jägersro
May 31: Solvalla
- We had a fantastic final last year when Aetos Kronos won a new world record Now we are doing our best to make a new grand final, despite external circumstances that we can’t control, says Anders Malmrot, racingmanager at Solvalla.
Should Holland open for trotting sports sports in May and Wolvega be allowed allowed to compete on May 15, there will be five eliminations and thus the two best and two threes that qualify for the final.
All eliminations and the final are decided over 2140 meters.
