Pure Atlas stands out at Solvalla

He made his debut at 13.7 as a 2-year-old - and finished unplaced.

Then there have been three straight victories and Pure Atlas feels like the most exciting horse to start in the Breeders Course elimination at Solvalla.

Breeders Course 3 years old 2022 First Final has collected seven exciting horses at Solvalla, but the one that stands out is Pure Atlas.

Pure Atlas is bred by Marko Kreivi, perhaps best known as one of the owners of Ecurie D, and Marko still owns the horse. Of course, it was offered for sale Sweden International Yearling Sale, but Marko called back the horse for SEK 460 000.

He made his debut in a elimination race for Svensk Uppfödningslöpning, but never got free and finished with plenty of energy left. Then there were three straight victories and after the win in Breeders Crown, worth SEK 175 000, driver Mika Fors said:

– It is a fantastically nice horse, it hardly feels like he is running, rather that he is flying forward.

He has overwintered well, trainer Jerry Riordan is happy before his debut this year and the goal is of course the final at Solvalla in connection with Elitloppet where SEK one million awaits the winner.

And it is a final that Riordan has fond memories of, in 2019 his Aetos Kronos won a new world record.
