- This is dynamite.
The words come from Per Nordström since his Önas Prince won the second elimination race for the Breeders Course 3 years old 2020 Second Final.
A little cube the first 100 meters, but then Adrian Kolgjini (Billions) released the lead to Nordström. And well in the lead, there was no threat to the 3-year-old who now took his fourth victory in the seventh start.
But the way up here hasn’t been so easy. The horse is equipped very safely, cotton in the ears and trot with shoes all around.
– If I were to pull the cotton out of his ears he wouldn't stop until the next town, Per jokes.
As a young horse, Önas Prince was also very tough, now trainer Nordström has managed to channel that mood to the race track.
According to Per Nordström, the secret to the talent is in the horse's pedigree, Grandma's grandmother is Gelinotte - and much better bloodline can hardly be found.
Behind the Önas Prince, who won at the peak time 1.11.5, Wild West Diamant (Robin Bakker / Paul Hagoort) accounted for a strong effort as second and thus took the second final place.
Can Önas Prince then become king in the final at Jägersro on the 28th of July where SEK 700,000 awaits the winner?
- I think so, Per replies. He is so good. I might take off all the shoes in the final and then I think he can run under 1.11/1640 meters.
July 3: Wolvega.
July 13: Solvalla.
July 14: Jägersro.
July 28: Final at Jägersro.
Note: Two best from each elimination to the final, 10 horses in the final.
