Erik the Phantom is a Phantom

Erik the Phantom is something really special. He easily won the Breeders Course 3 years old Bonusrace at Solvalla and earned SEK 125 000 on that walk.

– It's a great horse, driver Björn Goop said. He opened well, even though I was only driving on safety.

Erik the Phantom lurched away in the lead, was never really threatened and pulled away with a few safe lengths in the end and the winning time was a superb 1.13.5/2140 meters.

– He didn't feel tired, and had some energy left, Goop continued.

Erik the Phantom (Maharajah–Carlotta with Ready Cash as grandsire) has started his career with three wins and a second place. It is Timo Nurmos who trains and Saara Jaakonsaari who takes care of the stallion, which is bred at Menhammar Stud.

The bonus races with SEK 125 000 in first prize have become popular, the next bonus race will be decided next Tuesday at Jägersro and three more bonus races are planned during the autumn.

Also, don't forget that it will soon be time to register for the elimination races for 2-year-olds. The first is decided in Åby on August 25.
