Double kick off for Breeders Course

Welcome back, we say too Mellby Jinx. You may remember that he won the Breeders Course final for two-year-olds at Jägersro last autumn. Now that he is back after strengthening winter training and chasing a place in the Breeders Course final at Solvalla in connection with the Elitloppet.

Breeders Course kicks off the season on Wednesday 28 April with eliminations at both Swedish Solvalla and Finnish Vermo.

Mellby Jinx made his debut this year with a victory in a Breeders Crown elimination in Örebro and after that his form ihas just improved, according to trainer Svante Båth.

– He has taken the race in the best way and trains as usual at home on the straight. He varies between 6-8 intervals and he feels strong and solid.

There you have the supposed main favorite in the elimination at Solvalla, where everyone except Cintra and Mi Ma Ohrtus is in the Breeders Course. This means that the latter two cannot qualify for the final with a total prize money of two million SEK.

If we focus on Vermo, the eyes of Mescalin Shade will be fixed. The three-year-old made his debut at Seinäjoki with a crushingly superior victory. He trotted 16.2 / 2100 meters with a volt start and that wasn't even maximum effort. Mescalin Shade is trained by the skilled young horse trainer Markku Nieminen and if we look at the siblings, it is about a half-brother of the double millionaire Sahara Peyote (in training with Veijo Heiskanen). Mescalin Shade will be driven by Santtu Raitala - superior number one in the Finnish driver league with 108 wins so far this year.
